After many years of working as a secretary, I was given the opportunity to work with children and realised how much I enjoy encouraging them to develop and grow.

I am very excited to have achieved my level 2 in Early Years and now am training to gain my Level 3.

I believe play inside and outside to be a very important part of a child's learning process especially outside learning about the environment they live in.

I also believe a nurturing environment such as Cotswold Bunnies to be essential to help children gain confidence and a positive outlook.

"I have four grown up children of my own and I have worked in childcare for many years.

I currently hold a level 4 qualification in childcare and education. Previous to joining the team at Cotswold Bunnies I worked as Deputy Play Leader in a preschool for 13 years and prior to that was a childminder for babies in my own home.

I strongly believe in encouraging children to develop at their own pace in a safe, happy and nurturing environment."

Katy Serafin

"As young parents Ludo and I were heavily involved in our children's educations and with friends we started up and successfully ran a home school in London which our eldest daughter attended before we moved to
Gloucestershire.
I then went on to gain a PGCE and worked at Cirencester College for ten years as a lecturer specialising in early years and education.

I have a wealth of knowledge and understanding of the early years sector and it is a real pleasure to see children in our care thrive, develop, make friends, have fun and learn in a beautiful natural and stimulating environment."

My career in child care began in 1991 at a small day nursery where I worked as a nursery assistant.  I went on to study for my level 3 in child care and education and later an Advanced Diploma in Childcare and Education at Cheltenham University.

Being a mum to 2 children, I understand how important these little people are to every parent and how vital it is to provide a loving and safe environment for them to grow and develop to become confident learners in preparation for starting school.

"I am a mother of 3 boys who all have active and healthy lives.

When my children were younger I childminded and later helped run a local playgroup.

After that I worked for 7 years at a local school supporting children with Special Needs.

I have an NVQ 3 in childcare along with being the Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator at Cotswold Bunnies.

I passionately believe in helping, nurturing and supporting children's development. I want to encourage children to explore the world around them and express who they are."

I qualified as a Level 3 Early Years Educator in June 2016. I have had lots of experience in different settings, while on college placements. I have also worked as a Health Care Assistant for 6 months on a hospital children's ward. I enjoy seeing the children learn and grow at Cotswold Bunnies nurturing and homely environment.
